iRacingToolkit Release notes
----------------------------

IMPORTANT:
----------

Controller configs and app settings are reset to default with each new version and must be reconfigured on first run.

If you are upgrading from the older iRacingAutoPit and wish to keep your existing log and DB data you will need to copy the following files
from your existing installation folder into the root iRacingToolkit\ folder:

	- iRacingAutoPit-data.log >>> app will auto-rename to >>> iRacingToolkit-data.log
	- iRacingAutoPit-sessions.log >>>	app will auto-rename to >>> iRacingToolkit-sessions.log
	- iRacingAutoPit-DB-120.sqlite3 >>> app will auto-rename to >>> iRacingToolkit-DB-120.sqlite3

Note the following files should be backed up and restored to the root folder when doing a fresh install in future.

	- iRacingToolkit-data.log
	- iRacingToolkit-sessions.log
	- iRacingToolkit-DB-120.sqlite3
	- iRacingToolkit-RPMdata.log

If upgrading from version iRacingToolkit 3.0.307 or newer you will need to copy the following files over to your new version:

	- iRacingToolkit-data.log
	- iRacingToolkit-sessions.log
	- iRacingToolkit-DB-120.sqlite3
	- iRacingToolkit-RPMdata.log

Along with the following folders:

	- Backups
	- Profiles

Known Issues
------------

- Assigning buttons on some wheels does not work for example, Fanatec DD.
- Does not work with Team racing, though I would have thought it should be able to calculate at least your stint. Havent tested.

Trace laps and driving line
----------------------------

New in this version is the ability to show a driving line on the track map in the telemetry tab.
This is only available for tracks that have a trace lap available in the /Trace/ folder.
If a trace lap is available for the track you are driving then the driving line will be shown on the track map in the telemetry tab when you popout the trackmap.
Trace laps have already been created(60+) for all major road circuits.
If you want to create your own trace laps then simply:

1. Select track and car in iRacing - recomend a car with good visibility like the Spec Racer.
2. Do your out lap, stop before the start finish line in the center of the track and turn on Telemetry logging in iRacing.
3. Drive a single slow clean lap with your car always an equal distance left and right from the edge of the track (middle of the track between the white lines).
4. After crossing the start finish line stop telemetry logging and get out of the car.
5. Find the .ibt file in the iRacing telemetry folder and append the suffix "-TRACE" to the filename. Eg. specracer_lemans full 2026-08-07 17-52-22-TRACE.ibt
6. Open iRacingToolkit Telemetry tab and click refresh button and the the ibt file will be processed and copied to the /Trace/ folder of iRacingToolkit root dir.

- Added fuel add adjustments for a bunch of cars that have large fuel increments to avoid short filling of fuel when the required add amount will cause iRacing to round down.
Fueling will still be stopped automatically if its enough and its the last stop.
- Added option to specify the maximum percentage of fuel saving possible per tank so that fuel saving is only mentioned if its within the specified percentage.
